Modonna, Chanel and Manchester

2 09 2009

Second day of September, my first blog entry and I have to confess that this was a fantastic day so far. Woke up 2 minutes before meeting with my friend started, spent almost 2 hours experiencing autumn, drinking green tea and enjoying a fantastic conversation.

Anyway I am here to tell you about good things that I have experienced in my life and I will try to be positive but honest.

Let’s start with yesterday, one of the worst mornings I had this year, so I went to work and logged in Diena.lv which is my ultimate favorite Latvian news websites, and there she is with her new video – Her Majesty Queen of the Dance Floor with Celebration. This video made my day and Mady is still in shape. Thank you and enjoy the video!

Next, almost two weeks ago I went to Manchester. Never been there before and enjoyed it a lot. Participated in the event of Amnesty UK and Manchester pride: http://www.manchesterpride.com/whatson/event.aspx?ID=439

But the story is I found three great thing to tell you about Manchester.

First, I found Canal street and it is a great place where to hang out when you are there, awesome people, clubs, bars and restaurants.

Second, in one of the book stores I found book CHANEL: HER LIFE, WER WORLD, THE WOMAN BEHIND THE LEGEND written by Edmonde Charles-Roux. I have just started reading it and I am so excited to know more about the inventor of a little black dress.

Third, we found one great restaurant that is a MUST for everyone who visits Manchester. Its name is Dough, have no clue what that means but it is worth to visit their site http://www.doughpizzakitchen.co.uk/. Haven’t seen such an inclusive restaurant, it has suitable menu for everyone – meat lovers, vegetarians, gluten free, diary free etc. They even have menu in Braille and large prints, also very suitable for people with special needs. Most important – food, drinks and staff are excellent! Don’t miss the Dough experience!
